Privacy Policy

Moshki ("we", "us") operates moshki.com, a price-comparison site for appliance replacement parts. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, why we collect it, and what we do — and don't do — with it.

Information we collect automatically

Like almost every website, our servers record basic technical information about each request: IP address, user-agent string, requested URL, referrer, and timestamp. We use this for:

• Operating the site — diagnosing errors, capacity planning, and abuse/rate-limit protection.
• Crawler and search-visibility analytics — we log which pages AI assistants and search-engine crawlers (e.g. GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Googlebot, Bingbot) request, so we can tell whether our content is being indexed and cited. This crawler-hit log is aggregated into counts per bot/page; it is not used to build advertising profiles of human visitors.
• Click analytics — when you click a "View offer" link to a merchant, we record that a click happened (which part, which merchant, and a timestamp) so we can measure which offers are useful to visitors and reconcile affiliate-network commission reporting. This record is tied to the click, not to a persistent profile of you as an individual.

Cookies

Moshki's own pages do not set advertising or tracking cookies. When you click a merchant link, you are redirected through moshki.com/go/{merchant}/{part-number} to the merchant's website via an affiliate network (currently the eBay Partner Network, CJ Affiliate, and/or Rakuten Advertising — see our affiliate disclosure). That redirect carries an affiliate tracking identifier in the URL, and the merchant's own site (not Moshki) may then set its own cookies according to its own privacy policy. We don't control, and aren't responsible for, cookies set by merchants or affiliate networks once you leave moshki.com — check the merchant's privacy policy for how they handle your data.

No sale of personal data

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties, and we never will. We are not an ad-tech company; our revenue comes from affiliate commissions on purchases you choose to make with our merchant partners, not from selling visitor data.

What we share, and with whom

Aggregated, non-identifying click and traffic counts may be shared with affiliate networks (eBay Partner Network, CJ Affiliate, Rakuten Advertising) and merchants strictly for commission reconciliation and reporting — e.g. confirming that a purchase resulted from a click that originated on moshki.com. We do not share individually identifying browsing history with anyone for marketing purposes.

Data retention

Request logs and click records are retained only as long as needed for the operational and reconciliation purposes above, after which they are deleted or aggregated into anonymous counts.

Your rights and data requests

If you'd like to ask what data we hold about a specific request or IP address, or ask us to delete it, email privacy@moshki.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and do our best to honor deletion requests to the extent the data isn't required for fraud prevention or legal compliance.

Children's privacy

Moshki is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
